WHAT WE DO

ANODIZING

Anodising increases resistance to corrosion and wear, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal does. The part that is being treated forms the anode electrode of an electrical circuit. COLORING

For colorizing, the anodized aluminum product is moved to another bath that contains organic dyes, similar to those used in the food industry.

The dye fills in the microscopic “straws” that were created in the anodizing process. The length of exposure to the dyes in the bath determines the depth or intensity of the color. For example, blue will eventually become black if left for the appropriate amount of time.

After colorization, the product’s new finish is sealed in a hot water and a chemical process, passing through multiple steps between at 70 to 97 degrees Celsius. This closes in the honeycomb of straws created during the anodization process to lock in the color for long life.

POWDER COATING

Whether for products used in the home or in commercial businesses, powder coating increases protection from cold, heat/ corrosion, scratching, or even bleaching under the hot sun.
Powder coating is mainly used for coating metals, such as household appliances, aluminum extrusions, drum hardware, and automobile and bicycle parts. Newer technologies allow other materials, such as MDF (medium-density fibreboard), to be powder-coated using different colors.

• The coating is fusion bonded and forms a thicker coating, providing better protection and longer product life.
• Since there are no solvents used, no volatile organic compounds (VOC) are released into the atmosphere which makes the process more environmentally friendly than liquid finishing.

• The wastes produced during the process can be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
